Finnigan was out for a run with his dad. He was being a very good boy, running alongside dad, stopping at corners and getting treats.
Well, when Finny and his dad stopped at one corner, there on the lawn, were about 50 pink Flamingos. It was somebody's birthday so they were telling the whole neighbourhood.
Now remember, Finny can't see very well. So when Finny stopped at the corner with his dad, he saw all these Flamingo's on the lawn but, couldn't see them very well .. so, Finny got a little bit closer, and a little bit closer, and a little bit closer .. then ..... "BARK BARK" .. Finny barked at the Flamingo's . . and continued running with his dad.

Finnigan's run
Finnigan loves to go for runs with his dad. He trotts along like a good boy, checking with me occasionally to make sure he's doing it right. When we stop and walk, he always gets a few pieces of kibble to tell him that he's a good boy.
Finnigan can't see very well and the other day while out for our run. We encountered a parked car at the side of the road. Dad just ran around it but I guss poor Finnigan couldn't see it and ran right into it bumping his head.
His dad felt really bad and gave Finnigan lots of pats and cuddles, and of course, some kibble.
That seemed to make Finnigan very happy and he continued his run.

Finnigan and the Orange
Finnigan is partially blind, but that doesn't keep him from playing like any other puppy. Finnigan loves to play with a ball, just like a cat does. He swats it, runs after it, jumps on it and carries it around in his mouth.
Finnigan has an orange ball hockey ball because it's tough and he can't break it. Well, the other day, I saw finnigan playing with is ball in the kitchen, or so I thought.
Upon closer inspection, I discovered that Finnigan had actually stollen an orange off of the kitchen table and was playing hockey with it.
When he saw me coming to get the orange, he grabbed it in his mouth, pushed his ears back, and took off down the hall wanting me to chase him. It took a couple of minutes but I finally caught him and retrieved the ball, teeth marks and all.

The Story of Finnigan
Finnigan is a blue eyed, red merle Australian Shepherd. Finnigan is the result of improper breeding and because of this, Finnigan was born deaf and partially Blind.
As members of the Australian Shepherd rescue organization, my wife and I took Finnigan into our home as a temporary foster dog.
The problem is, that Finnigan is such a happy, friendly, loveable dog, that when the time came to adopt him out. We just couldn't give him up.
So Finnigan is now part of our 3 dog pack.
